OfCourse terms

The rules every student agrees to when they join.

  1. 1

    Share only your own work

Post notes, explanations, study guides, reviews and advice that you created. Don't post exams or quizzes, unreleased exam questions, answer keys, solutions to current assignments, professor slides or study guides, textbook PDFs, lecture recordings, or anything your university or instructor restricts.

  2. 2

Follow your school's academic integrity rules

OfCourse is for learning, not for getting answers to graded work. You're responsible for following your university's honor code and your instructors' policies.

  3. 3

    Be respectful

Review courses, not people. No harassment, hate, personal attacks, or sharing other people's private information.

  4. 4

    Your account and verification

Use your real name and your own university email. The verified badge means you proved you control an email at that university, nothing more.

  5. 5

    How your posts are used

Posts, comments, ratings you choose to share and your public profile are visible to other students. Posts are also used to answer AI questions in their course, always with a link back to you. Your email and individual course ratings stay private.

  6. 6

    AI answers can be wrong

AI summaries are based on student posts, which may contain mistakes. Check the original posts, and use your course materials and instructors as the final word.

  7. 7

    Removing content

You can edit or delete your own posts and comments anytime. We may remove content or accounts that break these terms.
